Title: The All Inclusive B Thread!
Post by: B on April 25, 2011, 04:04:21 PM
Okay, after months of deliberation, I decided my mind was too important to be left unspoken.  So...you know...ask me stuff.  I need to channel my whoring and this seems to be the best way to do it.

...please ask me things.

How's it feel to the be the father of your very own "Ask" thread?

Does it make you sad to know that I probably won't ask much in this thread because we talk to each other and gossip like girls on the regular?

I'm proud.  It's a bit overweight, but that's because it was late being born.

Does it make you sad to know that I probably won't ask much in this thread because we talk to each other and gossip like girls on the regular?

I firmly expect you to back my thread as I back yours...like my personal Phone A Friend.

I enjoyed the time when Voodoo and I ran, like, half the roster of real wrestlers and ran weird and long angles.

I also mainly remember the other people, not so much what I did.  Trouble U, meeting X-Calibur, scouting Real Deal, that sort of thing.

Didn't we establish that you can't hate me for an indeterminate amount of time without being overcome with nostalgia upon my return and the hatred washes away?  i.e. aren't I like Hogan in that way?

Mac and XStacy come before your time knowing me and these folks.  Mac is one of OutKast's closest friends, and generally the guy that if Kast needs somebody who isn't named Real Deal, he turns to.

XStacy is a girl who flirted with all of us young'uns way back when and was a decent enough writer, but she faded away as most folks do.

Without question, in single matches that'd be Kenji, Ben Jackman, and Rawlings.

For a full blown feud, that's also easy.  Entragian, Goeren, and X-Calibur.

And no, that's not some spoilers.  I also wanted to avoid people I knew King had already had dealings with.

Let's say you hear a knock on the door and when you peek to see who's there, you see it's Isaac Entragian.  He has no specific reason for being there.  He may have picked your house at random to beat the heck out of the residents for his own pleasure; maybe he's lost and needs directions.

First things first...  in a competitive environment, the match would be a draw, because we are equally talented.

Second, any time we RP against one another competitively, SHOOT closes, or some other kind of horrific apocalyptic event.

When facing your best friend in an efed for the first time in about 11 years of competitive efedding... Do you feel bad knowing you are going to wipe the floor with him?

First things first...  in a competitive environment, the match would be a draw, because we are equally talented.

Second, any time we RP against one another competitively, SHOOT closes, or some other kind of horrific apocalyptic event.

RPing against Josh is what caused me to question the existence of God.

B, is there anything you miss about living in Australia?

I miss KFC's Works burger, Solo, sitting in the driver's side and not driving, insanely good Greek foods and fish 'n' chips, watching uncensored stuff on regular TV, getting to get pictures with my arm around the shoulders of a kangaroo, and making random girls get impressed by my insanely amazing voice.

Why did you live in Australia, and for how long?

I had two tenures in Australia.  One was for one month, then about six to seven months the next year.  It was for several reasons.  I wanted to feel free after my ass getting handed to me at college, a girl, and it was an awesome opportunity to check out someplace new.

B:

You realise G2's question was just a thinly veiled jab at me phrased in the form of a question, right?

Bonus question: crucifix powerbomb or piledriver from the turnbuckles?

So he's going to wipe the floor with you?

And crucifix powerbomb everytime.  Scott Hall introduced me to that move...Erik Watts introduced me to the other one...*shudders*

What's the busiest highway by you?

We have I-77 and I-85.  I'd say 85 given its connection to Atlanta being not far from here.  For the city itself, I-485 is a beast.

I usually take 95 when I come your way.  That's always a treat.  One of my favorite things to do is go across all four lanes when I get on 95 for the first time, usually at 85-90mph.

Se7eN can't count, since I was its forefather and leader...hahaha.

I gotta say I loved Fame & Fortune led by Vincent Cash, Jonny's Friends led by Jonny Johnson, Project:SCAR was a love of mine from Legacy and I was talking to Josh regularly about getting them here, and maybe Ascension...mostly for how Azraith DiMitri stole my soul back then.

I have a really hard time recalling any others I liked.  Definitely the Tillamook Triad.  I hated Diabolik, I hated AOD, I never got into King's Row, and off the top of my head, I start trying to figure things out at a very slow pace.

Duke is a college that began as a small private Methodist university.  It proceeded to sell itself to the Duke family, a tobacco family, to change the name.  After doing so, they began to do things like rape and murder innocent newborn children and spread propaganda that their hospital was the best place for the sick...when in reality it's nothing more than a cannibal buffet den.  They hired a terrible coach from Army who sold his soul for good recruits and infinite hair dye and the rest, as they say...is evil evil evil history.

Oh, and Davis and Kast never teamed together because Davis was too in love with Jonny Johnson to see that sweet Halfrican ass sitting across the room with Josh Johnson, ready to swing if the mood was right.

Given our mutual disdain for Duke and our undeniable World Champion caliber status at the time, why is it that OutKast and Rob Belote didn't remain a tag team longer than we did, nor find a place and time to team up again? Did you hate our tag title reign THAT much?

To the land down und-ahh.

Where women glow and men plund-ahh.

B: did you hear that Men At Work got sued for a ridonkulous amount of money for copyright infringement, because that song contains a snippet of a children's song?

I read that on Wiki when I had to verify the lead singer of Men At Work.  Hilarious.

I was going to say one of you three SCC guys would deadline a second RP.

What did you do this weekend?

Friday: attended a baby shower for a co-worker.

Saturday: attended a funeral for a 30 year old mother with a 2 year old.  So much fun.  Visited my parents and took my grandfather for a ride since he's unable to go anywhere being confined to a wheelchair.

Sunday: visited grandmother-in-law for her birthday.  Tried to have a relaxing day, spent most of it dealing with the fallout from the funeral.

Yay!

Hey B,

Depends on if a guy or a girl is eating them, Dube.  For some reason, it's hotter for a girl to be eating a lolli, and it's not gay to call it a sucker for a guy.  Don't ask.

BTW, your banner now makes your Seton picbase all dreamy like I can hear "Dreamweaver" playing when I look at it now.

In no particular order (and keep in mind this is my list and my opinions on my favorites, so stfu and make your own thread)...

"Black Dog" by Led Zeppelin
"Black" by Sevendust
"Man in the Box" by Alice in Chains
"Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns N Roses
"Enter Sandman" by Metallica

The fifth one there was hard to come up with, because I rarely list these.

I know very little about it, but as with a lot of other professional sports with various conferences and leagues inside of one umbrella, I look at interleague play the way I do Raw and SmackDown.  They may intersect and have matches/games against one another, but it takes away a lot of the specialness you would hope would be prevalent if you saw two teams who rarely saw one another facing off.  Maybe it's just me, but I would use interleague play sparingly.

I finished the first part of it long ago, only Josh has read that.  I'm hip deep in the second part, dealing with the long term ramifications of using politics to appease blatant terrorism.  It's not a commentary on anything, just what I think a newbie in the world of politics would try to do if faced with a massive terror uprising.

I've really got no idea.  It was the only unique color pattern I could think of at the time.

And Cowherd just...grates on my nerves.  Like Phil Mushnick used to, he just gets on these tangents that just rub me the wrong way.  It stops sounding preachy and starts sounding ignorant.  I can look at Whitlock's work and think "That's preachy, whatever man" but he's never portrayed himself as overly ignorant like Cowherd has.

Flying from Denver to Phoenix was the worst travel I've ever had.  Sure, it was brief, but it was HOT outside and the turbulence for somebody as paranoid as me had me thinking God joined Al Qaeda.

If a tree falls on a woodchuck chucking wood by the seashore in a forest, and no one's around to see it, did the holocaust still happen?

I can't tell you.  I was with Peter Piper picking peppers and pointing and laughing at Jack and Jill because those two clumsy fucks can't get a fucking bucket of water up and down a hill.

Like Josh said, it's fucking hell.  Still ongoing, this weekend is the culmination of it.  It's why the Rumble isn't completed, it's been over 100 degrees daily and I lived on an upper floor.  Jesus.

If we're going all sports all professional and collegiate levels...

UNC Men's Basketball
Chicago Bulls
West Virginia Mountaineers Football
UNC Football
...and I guess the Carolina Panthers.  That one's more out of regional loyalty than anything.  That and I'm a masochist.

I don't know what B's opinion on this is, but since I'm also a Carolina fan, I'm going to hijack this question with my thoughts.

So far, he's having a reasonably impressive debut, especially since the defensive scheme has consisted solely of "PUT PRESSURE ON THE ROOKIE QB."  The interception wasn't prime, obviously, but I think overall it's not as bad as the sports preachers said it was going to be.

I'm not going to whore these Cam questions out...so I'll do it all in one reply.

Yes, Cam Newton played remarkably well.  He broke records previously held by Peyton Manning and held up amazingly under pressure.  The fact that the loss was no blow out is promising, as it's a building block, you know?  I have faith that by next year he's going to be a marquee NFL star and that he is more or less the next Michael Vick: highly talented, good to great with the option, young, black, and handsome.  Just what the NFL needs.  Just stay away from the kennels, Cammy Cam.

And no, no jerseys for me.  Currently lobbying with my wife to get a Shockey jersey, though.  Love me some Jeremy Shockey.

Big Boi is dealing with some drug charges right now, if I recall, and Andre is all over the world of film anymore.  They do the occasional guest spot (Andre did a spot on a Ke$ha song), but I don't know if they'll ever record a full fledged album again.  Big Boi still owns Purple Ribbon Records as well as his own solo career.

It's been...okay.  I'm a huge fan of new work for a new fed being done.  If I'm reading a feud that's built on a bunch of initials from feds I've never read or never knew about, it's boring for me and I don't enjoy reading it.  I like new and original stories that, if they are continuations from older feds, doesn't sit there every single show or RP referencing that fact.  Treating a new fed like a rebooted comic book is a good way to look at it.  Your previous stuff is respected and built upon and even continued...but not to the point to lose your new readers.  I'll be interested to see where things progress from here.

Long Island Hardcore
Beautiful People

With an honorable mention to any tag teams Mac might've been involved in during his time with the original Diabolik.

Yes.  I type as fast as the teachers can talk, and I take written notes in shorthand which can be a frustrating thing to transcribe sometimes.  I can't live without my laptop, I think.  Definitely can't pass Modern Central Asian History.

If that answers your question.

Well, for me, a good color guys job in sports is to be more anylitical and break stuff down. For example mike mayock for ND games on nbc has a great feel for techniques and how a player should be playing and why its effective. Same with joe rogan for ufc.  They can be more critical, and usually have a deeper knowledge.

I do not think Velvet Sky is all that hot, to be honest.  She's kind of annoying.  I'd book TNA because TNA has the right mixture of veterans and up and coming talent.  They have solid divisions and overall it works on every single level except creative.  And I'm very, very, very smart.

Thanks for that.  I love playing color when we do radio shows.  However, PBP strikes me as something with more substance and I like to analyze things and study up on things like that.  I liken it to preparing for a debate.  You get the topic ahead of time, you study and prepare, and then you make it look fucking good, that final sell for the audience.  Color commentators too often ride the line between putting the work over or putting themselves over.  Basically, PBP because I have more fond memories of PBP people and being a PBP guy would be much more of a challenge for me.

No.  I already handle both Buck and Magnus.  Any and all segments pertaining to characters I also run combating the two BAB members I already handle are just jokes...because if there was any veracity to that, I'd probably just SHOOT myself.

I handle five characters, three of which are full time active wrestlers on the roster.  I work on the shows, the bookings, the angles of other people, my own angles, the matches, as well as countless things that you people don't even know the beginnings of.  It sickens me to think that I'd feud with myself not because of how fun it might be, but rather having to do it out of necessity.

My only time in my entire life I could have considered to have been remotely high was sitting in a room full of ignorant pot heads talk about their movie script and just HOW CLOSE they were to getting it filmed and how awesome it'd be for Steve Buscemi to star in it.

They thought blowing it in my general direction was the easier way to get me high and shotgun it.

Breasts are hot. Men and women both agree on that. Only a small portion of the public think that male genitals are attractive (most women think they're ugly). If a person under the age of 18 sees a breast, there's not always a huge issue (especially if it's a girl who sees it). Any time the male genitalia is involved, there's a huge problem.

My worry was in regards to the potential public upheval over the male pubic region.

B, my question to you, should we just end this conversation here / now?

I have three.  One that is solely for mp3 conversion which rarely gets used because of all the setting up it needs.  One that is set up with the stereo system that works perfectly fine and gets the most used.  The other is Mom's from when she was a teenager.  As an antique, it gets preserved for the rare and special occasion.

what happened when you met Kid Kash?

I was excited to meet him and he was literally avoiding any and all eye contact with everyone who was near him.  He goes and sits down in the hotel lobby with his beer in a wrestling convention and seems completely pissed that each and every person who was there was a wrestling fan.  I know people can be irritated after long drives or whatever, but he was taking surliness to a whole new level when he was sniping at fans who merely just waved at him as they walked by.  He was sitting there with Elix Skipper (who was fucking amazingly sweet to the point that it was weird), Petey Williams (who was also kind to people as they walked by), and America's Most Wanted (hilariously, nobody was trying to talk to them).  Like I said, I get being irritated, but come on.  Basic human decency and common sense means you don't act like an ass if someone walks past you not bothering you and waves at you as they go by.

Favorite current tar heel?

Favorite Tar Heel Ever: Either Tyler Hansbrough or Rasheed Wallace.  Huge difference, I know, but it's so easy to say Michael Jordan.

Favorite Current Tar Heel In the NBA:  Aside from Tyler, going to go with Brendan Haywood and Ty Lawson.  Sorry I can't pick.

Favorite Current Tar Heel:  Big Kendall Marshall fan, but John Henson has excellent defensive prowess.

What would you say if the WWE decided "fuck it, let's make tag team wrestling important again," and actually did? What if they brought in top tag teams from ROH and such to bolster the division? Would you mark out? Or would you simply jizz in your pants?
Title: Re: The All Inclusive B Thread!
Post by: B on January 05, 2012, 12:09:46 AM
Neither.  While I am a staunch advocate of tag team wrestling, I also believe fervently that the WWE has plenty of talent that can easily be slotted into a team and have it actually make sense.

Looking at the WWE roster pages...let's look at their guys who really aren't doing all that much of late.

Alex Riley, Ezekiel Jackson, Curt Hawkins, JTG, Mason Ryan, Michael McGillicutty, Tyler Reks, Heath Slater, Johnny Curtis, Justin Gabriel, Trent Barreta, Yoshi Tatsu, Tyson Kidd.

Of those guys, I wanna say Hawkins and Barreta are either tag teaming full on or just every so often teaming...either them or Reks, but I honestly can't remember.  Keeping Air Boom, Epico/Primo, and The Usos in mind, you slot some of those guys together with some relative ease.  Kidd/Slater as a small, fast, prick heel team.  Gabriel/Riley as a relatively bland combo, but with Gabriel's moves and Riley's...um...whatever he has, that can work as a face combo.  The only guys that would have a hard time finding somebody to mesh with would be Tatsu and JTG based on their gimmicks, but JTG can easily find himself teaming full time with Johnny Curtis or Tyler Reks or McGillicutty.

All of that without even touching their developmental people, and that's a fucking gold mine right about now.

My point about that is I'd hate to see WWE completely mine the indy tag team scene and before they start making more spots for guys who can barely find places for themselves, I'd prefer they let their current undercard sink or swim first.  Not saying the RoH teams or TNA or whoever has great teams because they absolutely do, but the guys they have now are the toys they have to play with, feels kinda unfair to take away all the toys from everyone else because they don't have any idea how to play with the ones they already have.

u know if WWE took somebody who's not doing anything and they wouldn't have to pay a ton like let's say Jimmy Hart and let him book just Superstars with anyone they weren't using I'd watch it religously or at least buy dvd copies of it. Hell even if they told him to take the wrestlers B listed above and set up a 6 tag team round robin tournament with points over a couple of months I'd probably watch it.

When you beat a top ranked team, you have every single right to run out onto the court and celebrate, even if it's the team I grew up on watching.

And Roy pulled a bitch move.  When the generals leave the infantry to die on the field of battle, corny as it sounds, that's a bitch move.  I hated it, completely.

In terms of college career, I'd actually lean on Tyler Hansbrough.  There's tons also in the running (Worthy, Jamison, Stackhouse, Carter, Cunningham, Ford...actually...Cunningham and Ford are extremely close, had I seen them in person they may even supplant Tyler)...but in my lifetime that I've had the thrill of enjoying I'd go for Tyler.

Now...in terms of legacy...Worthy, maybe?

My Mom saved a Pomeranian and some kind of terrier close to a Yorkie that she found playing in a busy street.  So I took them in since she went back to work and immediately knew all their problems and how to fix them.  The simple way to explain what I get to do with dogs is firm and fair.  It's important with the Pomeranian (8 year old non-neutered male) to establish that he is not the alpha, since him and the little 2 year old terrier is a female and is somewhat of a pack.  So you have to break that aspect and show him he's not going to be in the head of the line anymore, particularly since we have two cats and my other dog Daisy who is leaps and bounds bigger than him (Daisy is 30 pounds and Wolfgang is 7 pounds).

Don't want to waffle on about it, but yeah.  You can't take shit off an animal and they need to recognize that.

most ninjas get their asses kicked, even when they have greater numbers, simply because it's historically known that they cannot work together. Simply, they try to outshine the rest by doing the job that the entire group needs to be doing, but doing it by themselves.

Ninjas usually do not have good communication with each other.

Ninja TURTLES, however, are a completely different pizza scented story.

Dell had a deal if you get a laptop for school they give you a free XBox 360, so I did that deal when it came out.  My Mom wanted to use the 360, so she bought a Kinect and a 250 GB HDD for it.  She never used it and gave it to my brother, who promptly hooked it up and got it all put together...and then never turned it on.  He moved to a smaller apartment and gave it to me who promptly played the fuck out of it.

Nope.  Good, honest sports teams have ebbs and flows.  Nobody's perfect consistently, and nobody's going to have constantly good to great years of basketball.  The days of Wooden are over, back to back champs are so rare nowadays, so I'm not too fussed.

Title: Re: The All Inclusive B Thread!
Post by: B on June 06, 2012, 01:17:19 PM
Why?  What it do?

Actually, I've stopped watching wrestling for the most part.  Ring of Honor is shit to me, TNA is shit to me, WWE is shit to me, and I can't afford to go tape hunting, so I've stopped.  I love Skip Sheffield and I liked Ryback because he WAS Skip Sheffield, but the problem I have with Ryback is that gimmick of unstoppable monster killing nobodies doesn't impress me.  It's weak writing and weaker workrate.  They want me to like Ryback, give him somebody to work with on a rivalry basis.  They want him to go undefeated like Goldberg, a big reason Goldberg went undefeated was the depth of WCW's roster at the time AND the amount of shows Goldberg could be featured on.  Ryback's popping up here and there, facing people you KNOW are going to lose to him, so there's no fun.  Goldberg's streak became fun when he started facing people who put the hurt on him and had him staggered.  If they'd at least put that question mark on him, then I'd enjoy him more.  Then again, considering how fucking boring wrestling is anymore, I don't know if I'd watch even then.  I hear they killed Tensai and turned him into yet another monster underling Cena could eat up.  Yay for you, Matt Bloom.  Gotta love that WWE paycheck, right?

Favorite wrestling match of all time is Bret/Austin at WrestleMania 13.  Eddie/Rey at Halloween Havoc is, like, always nipping at its heels, but I doubt it'll ever take it to the top.

For e-fed match...it all depends on if you mean that I was involved in or not.

Mother fuck.

Involved In:  Donovan King versus Jester Smiles in the Barbed Wire Cage at a PPV I can't remember.  Very very early, though.  Cemented King's character fully in that feud, and writing a villain who is only a bad guy because he's selfish and kind of a child with the talent to do adult damage and watching that villain get what's coming to him was so fulfilling.

Not Involved In:  The Real Deal versus Diamond Del Carver at I think it was Reckoning Day.  Dave and Josh had not gotten along in ages what with the SHOOT/OPW disdain and all that.  This match signified the start of a long, long road for all of us to heal our wounds.  It might have been a seriously long road with plenty of bumps along the way, but I think our healing as a circle began when Dave, Josh, and by extension myself all began to talk to one another and realize the silliness of it all.  Note that I said "began", because clearly we had a long way to go yet.

do YOU think John Thomas is a World Title caliber character, and would it be as a heel or face?

Heh, I answered this elsewhere.  But, yeah, John Thomas got seriously cheated by you in LEGACY and elsewhere.  Not because you're a dick or whatever, but because you never gave him the push he deserved as a character in LEGACY and you never devoted him to much beyond the TTW umbrella, as it were.  JT was deserving of a world title run, and may yet as well.

However, note the past tense because you have very little time as it is and you've already got Henry Gordon that you're building and, as such, need to devote the proper time and resources to developing him beyond even John Thomas.
