Since you've been spamming it...

I think we all have that "one guy" in this game that pushes us to entirely new levels when it comes to competitive writing. That guy that you see you're facing and the first thought in your head is "shitttt...I'm gonna have to bring my best to hang with this dude."

Who is your one guy? (can by someone from the past, doesn't matter)

lol my match with Trey this cycle inspired me to ask people this question.

Mine is Trey. I'm always amazed at how GOOD he is at ripping into you. Definitely one of those writers/characters that pushes you to your limit and inspires you to come back just as hard. I've only ever faced him in random (competitive) matches and each time has been so memorable.

I've worked with tons of incredible writers in my time, but I'm usually a story/angle guy so most of the stuff was planned out beforehand and the competitive edge only came into play rarely during feuds I was involved in...

So yeah, Trey's my guy.

What, and no spoilers, would make you consider closing the book on Entragian?

Dan Stein was probably one of the biggest ones for me. I was just kinda "meh" about Stein for a long time (primarily during that period of time where I think Greg was still searching for the character's identity) and he was never a must-read character for me.

In the last few years though that has completely changed and Stein is one of the most complex, entertaining characters I've ever had the pleasure of reading...he's turned into a legit favorite of mine.

Tough question, and it reminds me of my original plan for Isaac when SHOOT reopened.

Originally the plan was for Isaac to go out like The Governor from The Walking Dead. He was going to be offered redemption, decline the offer, and essentially just prove that it's too late for him. He was going to go out like the evil badass that he is...attempting to destroy one of SHOOT's heroes only to get destroyed himself in the end.

But then Drew and I got to talking (Drew has always been someone I can go to about character ideas and shit like that) and we thought about how fucking CRAZY it would be if one of the most barbaric, purely evil heels to ever exist in SHOOT actually turned face...

At first I thought that might be a betrayal of the character's nature, but the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to at least try it...because the challenge of trying to take this demonic figure and redeem him was just too good to pass up.

Just thought I'd tell that little story before answering.

I think I'd consider closing the book on Entragian only when it feels like there's no meat left to his story. Only if I feel like his narrative can go no further and writing him stops being fun and starts feeling like a chore. I've written Isaac as a main character for over five years now...so I'm really attached to him and invested in his story.

Should I watch Z Nation?

I think you should.

It's no Sharknado...but it's an ambitious little show.

Rank your top 5  choices (so #1 would be something you couldn't live without)  in entertainment (internet is dq'd from this process)  -  ie:  sports, music, movies, tv, books, video games, art ...  etc.

You could put something else in there.  My list wasn't the ultimate list just a guide.

Make a buddy cop movie using only other buddy cop movies to make the two leads.

I'm not huge into Buddy Cop movies, but the ones I do like fall into the dark/gritty genre.

I'd take Alonzo Harris (Denzel Washington) from Training Day and pair him up with David Mills (Brad Pitt) from Se7en

The plot would be something True Detective-ish involving a serial killer and interconnected disappearances and stuff like that. Alonzo would be the corrupt one and Mills would be the aggressive antihero.

Who would be the villain? (Already existing villain that is.)

I'd have it be a cultist group of followers devoted to John Doe's work but in kind of a warped way...each of the killers representing a different seven deadly sin. A fat brutal pig-mask wearing dude for Gluttony. A creepy but sexy femme fatale for Lust. A handsome psychopathic playboy for Pride...etc etc.

I'm the worst person to answer this question because I've never really followed The Flash...had to consult wikipedia because I'm not familiar with any of the villains.

I'll go with Shade just because he sounds interesting...he can be portrayed as he's described on wikipedia :p

Tough question.

Dolls & marionettes are pretty creepy, but if we're talking about dolls that are inanimate objects...the super pale twins would probably take it because they're living things and can move around and fuck with you to add to the creepy factor.

Very well thought out answer. And without giving TOO much away...The Riddler has been featured in both episodes of Gotham so far. Might be some motivation for you to check it out ;]

I do. The actor that plays him has a really intense/unhinged presence whenever he's on screen. You can just tell there's something off about him. He's still in that origin phase where he's just Edward Nigma now and hasn't really "transformed" into The Riddler...but I'm stoked to see where his story goes in future episodes.
