Lap Top Help
« on: December 03, 2014, 10:20:20 PM »
So my nieces and nephew ALL want laptops for Christmas.  2 want a "gaming" laptop.  the other a macbook.

Sssoooo...  is there an economical gaming laptop?  What would I be looking for in a gaming laptop?

Depends on what type of gaming we're talking about. If it's just gonna be like fucking FarmVille or something then sure there are tons of economical options. However, if we're talking heavy CPU usage, constant Steam console quality games, WoW, and other stuff... then tell your wallet to bite the pillow, cause you gotta go in dry.

Yep, reasonable gaming laptop for things like WoW and whatnot, you can't do without thinking about being in the $1,000 range.

It won't hurt to check out Best Buy for open box items, either. Wife works there and says most of these items are returned not because of malfunction, but because they didn't get what they wanted.

Case in point, our 32 inch flatscreen we paid 100 for, and my wife's laptop, which is Lenovo brand, touchscreen, and is a Windows laptop, she got for a little under 250. Also plays WoW fine.

Not saying you'll find those specific prices, but again, it won't hurt.
