Glad your unemployment kicked in.

I'm still looking, but have sort of a loose side gig right now that I'm doing.  Has the potential to turn into something legit.

Same here, buddy.  I've applied for like, 65 jobs this past week and haven't heard anything back except for some scam emails.  Pretty awesome.

Keep your chin up, like everyone says to me.

I may have missed out on a potential job because of lousy cell phone reception. I had a phone interview today with a travel agency but 30 seconds into the call i lsot reception and it was dropped. I then called back and 45 seconds in the callw as dropped again. I tried calling back a couple minutes later on a landline and my cellphone and got an answering machine both times. I'm going to try calling abck tommorrow if i dont get an answer I'm going to go there on Thursday.

I've got 2 phone interviews for 2 different positions in the same company next week.  Should be awesome, hopefully.

Kidd, how did your travel agency thing work out?

No luck the person who called me doesn't work att the store she's at some corporate office so I called and left another message on her machine but after the phone fiasco I don't think she's gonna call back

Update on my job situation:

early in the week I got a few nights working as a doorman/bouncer at one of the strip joints in my area. it's not reliable work though because it's considered a "independent contractor" gig...but it is cash in hand so I made a few extra bucks from it.

I've applied for security positions at two of the hospitals in my area, and I REALLY hope I get a call back from one of them. They listed a shitload of security openings recently and I applied for every single one.

Jer u should look into being a "resident supervisor" fancy word for guard at goverment funded halfway house in Jersey its called Kintock its good pay and benefits and lots of overtime u do havve to have open availabilty its also technically a goverment job. The place is the inbetween step between prison and the outside world teaches them how to interact get jobs etc but the prisoners live there. I have friends who do it and I'm trying to get in there. Sounds like it would be up ur aley great money, lots of overtime sometimes mandatory and lots of paid holidays and vacation time

I like the sound of it. On that same token, Eastern Regional Jail is hiring entry level correctional officers in my neck of the woods right now, and I applied for all of those positions too. I have a friend who works there, so hopefully he can put in a good word for me.
