Joshua Kaine was introduced to the EWA World as the son of legendary former Revolution Champion and two-time EWA Champion Sinnocence. Though Jada Kaine had long reinforced in past interviews to not have any children, it was stated purely because of the wishes of her now-deceased first husband, renowned five-time world champion Kris Kaine. He grew up in the small town of Lenoir, North Carolina to two loving parents who were open and honest about his adoption. When Josh turned eighteen, he went to court to get his adoption records unsealed and found out exactly who his parents were. Josh sought out his birth-mother in the early fall of 2016, but not before changing his name to what it should have been all along. Their reunion was rocky, but eventually he convinced her to start training him. Sinn kept him a secret for months in order to train him up and get him ready for the hell that is the world of professional wrestling. Josh has shown a particular aptitude for brawling and submissions. He had minor success in the EWA, holding the tag team championships with his then-boyfriend Mojave and then-girlfriend Nikki Caldwell. Josh did some dumb shit after feeling like he was being chained in place by his relationships with Nikki & Moe. He joined up with the resident heel stable in the EWA, who consequently chained him up in a basement for two weeks to bring out the animal in him. It worked to their advantage, but the EWA shuttered its doors shortly thereafter due to legal issues between the owners. Josh was caught for the first time without a viable direction. He did what he knew best, he sought his mother’s advice and was told to go out and work on his own. Josh could no longer rely on her for strength--as her own health was failing. So he’s here now, looking to see if he has what it takes--and perhaps reconnect with a few familiar faces.
Aaah! Aaah! Aaah! Aaah!
The raspy and electric voice of Alice in Chains’ Layne Staley and those distinctive guitar riffs suddenly starts over the speakers of the arena, igniting a pop from the crowd. Josh Kaine appears from backstage, his face empty of all emotion as he walks to the ramp with his arms extended for a few moments before heading to the ring.
I believe them bones are me
Some say we’re born into the grave
I feel so alone, gonna end up a
Big ole pile of them bones
Giving nods and slapping a few fans’ hands on the way down, Josh climbs up onto the ring apron and gives the barest hint of a smile before climbing through the ropes. He retreats to his corner, hands on the ropes to await his opponent’s arrival.
