Josiah Hudson

His daddy was a high school wrestling coach. His mama is a Sunday School teacher. This foundation created a unique upbringing relative to the kids Josiah Hudson grew up with in Gary. Gifted with an otherworldly athletic talent, Josiah was prepped by his father early to become a breadwinner for his family.

Despite the regular hang-ups of youth and a proclivity for the night life, Josiah's "God Given" talent took him to a collegiate wrestling scholarship at Purdue and an eventual slot as an Olympic alternate. After his collegiate career concluded, there were really just two paths for Josiah to take to become that breadwinner for his family: MMA, or pro wrestling. Looking up the net worth of the top earners in each industry showed it wasn't no choice at all. Professional wrestling was the way to make his mama rich.

Shortly before his tryout with UWA, tragedy struck. Josiah's father, the lantern that had always lit the way, passed away. A brain aneurysm nobody saw coming. 

Josiah's tryout was impressive. So impressive, even, that SHOOT decided to have him bypass UWA completely and go straight to New York. Given his youth, inexperience, and his father's sudden passing, the brass decided to assign him a manager -- at least for the early stages of his career. Recognizing a similar milieu shared between them, they placed Josiah's career in the hands of Mauler Kulinski.

Now, Josiah pursues the goals his father had etched into his heart as a young boy, while his mama prays every night that the Lord almighty keeps her baby safe.
